EXPERIENCE Throughout Dennis Henderson's career, he has worked with small- to medium-size consulting engineering firms, where he has been involved in every aspect of a project. His work has included:
- Sanitary sewer evaluation studies for municipalities ranging in size from 5,000 to 75,000 in population, with line sizes ranging from 8- to 48-inches in diameter.
- Wastewater pump station designs involving capacities ranging from 0.07-mgd to 20-mgd. Wastewater treatment plant designs for new plants, upgraded plants and extensions of plants ranging in size from 0.02-mgd to 60-mgd.
- Potable water distribution system designs for extensions, upgrade and extensions to existing systems ranging from 3-inch to 36-inch diameter. Potable water treatment plant designs from groundwater and lake raw water supplies. Potable water storage tanks ranging from 0.10 mg to 5 mg, elevated.
- Project Manager for engineering services associated with a construction upgrade project for the largest wastewater plant in Alabama (60 mgd/100 mgd, two-stage activated sludge), totaling approximately $20 million in construction costs.
- Natural gas distribution system designs associated with relocation, upgrade, extensions and expansions. Also involved with the design of several gas regulator stations. The design of replacement of cast iron gas mains for the purpose of reducing liabilities of the gas system.
- Master planning of water and sewer systems for municipalities projecting population growth, water consumption, and wastewater volumes for 20-year periods.
- Engineering reports for use by municipalities entering the bond market to secure financing for water and sewer improvements. Feasibility studies and rate analyses for municipal water and sewer systems.
- Construction management experience with regard to each of the above-referenced design projects.
- Experience working with CDBG, FAA, and FMHA on water and sewer projects and the EPA Construction Grants Program (1980 -1990) and 201 Facility Plan Updates for Lexington and Savannah, Tennessee.
